<p>Representative Aftyn Behn has introduced the "Pot for Potholes Act" (<a href="https://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/Billinfo/default.aspx?BillNumber=SB0921">SB0921 / HB0703</a>) a bill aimed at legalizing marijuana to fund state infrastructure projects. With 75% of cannabis tax revenue directed toward highway repairs, the legislation seeks to address Tennessee’s $78 billion infrastructure funding shortfall. Public opinion polls show strong support for legalization, but political opposition may pose a challenge. The bill joins two other cannabis-related proposals in the General Assembly.</p>
